Bedding, Summer Goodies, & Organization

So I found this new site called http://www.become.com/. It's kinda like an amazon or something where it pulls up several brands of what ever topic you're looking for from new bedding, summer time goodies, and organizational tools.

Lets say you search: flip flop bedding sets. I love flip flops and bed spreads! It comes up with these adorable comforters: This is from the Company Store. Cute colors for a girls room! And @ $99.oo it's not a horrible price. Very beachy, bright, and fun.

Or like plush blue rose towels. It comes up with all kinds of stuff including this cute beach towel for ~$10.00 from Swim2000. $10.00 for a beach towel is pretty average price, right?Wet Products Hibiscus Towel

Or even nsf-free airtight 25 lb flour containers. My friend Katie has some awesome container like these! She's been hold'n out for the quality canisters. She uses them to hold cereal, snacks, and even toys. These are found at Khols for sale $13.59-$16.99, iginal $15.99-19.99. A little pricey but possible worth it for the quality.Oggi Airtight Storage Containers

Just thought it could be a fun new site for you fellow mamma's to search for home and garden items {they have other categories as well}!
Let me know if you find any fun products.

What Does “Hospitality” {REALLY} Look Like?

Hospitality is so important to the Christian life. But so many Christians struggle with it...or so they think. When you hear the word "Hospitality" what is the 1st thing you think?

  • I have to fix a 'proper' meal
  • Do I own a tableclothes
  • My plates don't match
  • How are you supposed to set a 'proper' place setting
  • When am I going to find time to make my house shiny clean
  • What in the world will be talk about
  • There's no 'good' time to have ____ over

Beef Dogs {Thoughtful Thursday}

Today is thoughtful Thursday so feel free to share ANY thoughtfulness!

Have a fun recipe? A tool you love? Please share by commenting with a link to your post about your thoughtfulness! Then post the “Thoughtful Thursday” button to your post so other ladies can get lots of thoughtful helps! I know I've been sharing a lot of recipes lately but ANYthing thoughtful is welcome! Consider visiting the link above yours and encouraging them through comments!

This post comes via my hubby's creativity! He was thoughtful the other night {like so many} and helped me out by doing dinner. We were missing pieces to every menu item I had for the week so I was a little baffled. He brushed me out of the kitchen and when he called everyone for dinner this is what he had created:

Beef Dogs

1 lb lean ground beef
Season Salt
Hot Dog Buns
Your Selection of Condiments

Divide out beef {we did~5 parts} and season. Smash down just like a regular hamburger patty just shape it into an oval/rectangle rather than a circle.
Grill in pan on stove top.

French Fries

Frozen Great Value Crinkle Cut French Fries {handful per person}
Season Salt {enough to sprinkle over the tops}

I like to sprinkle our fries with season salt before baking.
The bag says to cook @ 400' for ~20 minutes
but if you like that crisper taste without having to fry them {we do} 425'ish for at least 30 minutes.

This kids loved them and they were just as good as if they'd been on hamburger buns!!!

Have you ever had a night like that where nothing was coming together because you were missing some piece of the recipe? What did you do?

Here’s my thoughtfulness for the week:

Kids helping in the kitchen is my fav! When they help make it they seem to eat it better {most of the time}. Today Izzie is helping me make

Mini Meat Loafs

1 lb ground beef {we use lean}
1/4 cup quick oats {might want a little more}
1 tsp Oregano
1tsp Paprika
1 tsp Basel Leaves
1 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Pepper
2 tsp Onion Pwd
1 egg
1/4 cup Ketchup {and some drizzled on top}

Mix all ingrediants in on bowl

You can use a chopper {your your hands for a more thorough mix}

Shape into 2 small meat loaf pans and back ~40 minutes {or just one large one but you'll have to bake 1 hr}

Let is cool at least 5 minutes before trying to cut. I'm not sure I added enough oats or if I cut too soon, ours ended up being a pile of TASTY meat.

Enjoy! We scarfed ours...shoulda made 2lbs. What do you have to share today?
